Same here. I don't notice any difference.

On second thought... after a couple of hours of playing, I'm thinking I might go back to .103.
Things don't feel as snappy as before, and my device has frozen up twice when using the instant messengers.

I find that with .103 all of my instant messengers lock up constantly!!!!!!!!
It has to do with a bug going into landscape mode I think, none the less - battery pull is the only solution. can't wait for this to be fixed.

IMHO there is no doubt .109 is faster and more stable then .103. YMMV

If you haven't upgraded since .90 or abouts, then 109 is a good release to upgrade to.

I agree with you on that. Some people are reporting that their IM clients are locking up on them... this might be the clients though, not the OS.

It's been a while since I've heard anyone praise the older Operating Systems...but I honestly don't feel these are as snappy and smooth as .75
man i dunno what I am saying, but I have been all over beta releases since the phone came out and I am actually sweating the decision on whether or not I should go to .109
The only reason I say this is because the graphic lag while typing is insanely annoying on .103 and the fact that the memory does leak (even though a lot of people don't notice) kind of leaves me torn...
I know I can roll back, but urg, the hassle, the time, and the disappointment...
meh I'ma think about it a little more
if anything, I'd do a full wipe this time

Don't expect the memory problem to change on .109, but the typing is definitely an improvement.

I doubt you will be disappointed, but I'll be upfront: don't expect a whole lot of obvious differences. Other then the portrait keyboard.

Heh heh.....You sound just like me. I'll bet (when you get time) you will end up trying it....that is unless the next release is leaked before you get around to it. Wipe is up to you but not necessary and if time is a factor, skip that.

I installed 109 last night. I had only had my 9530 for less than a week and it was running .75. Upgrade went flawlessly and things are much more responsive now. Much more usable.

I have gone through all the Beta OS's since I got my storm on the first week. Starting with Beta .90 I have had the exact same issue with all the Beta OS.
I have custom Ringtones that I set to different things. BBM, Email, SMS. Everytime to get an alert, the phone lockes up while playing the sound for about 10-15 seconds. Sometimes the sound stops playing, and other times the sound continues, but everytime, the phone is completely unresponsive for about 10-15 seconds. It is very annoying.
I rolled the phone back to the .85 beta, and the issue cleared up and I had no issues at all. Wiped the phone and installed the .109 again, and the problem is back.
Does anyone else experience this?
My custom Ringtones are MP3's encoded at 96kbps and range from 3 seconds to 20 seconds in length.

in the music folder on the phone there is a file called bbthumbs.dat, it is hidden, delete it. see if this works. worked for me.

Exactly what happened to me but went back to my 106 hybrid since it was the last build that worked for me. I updated to 109 and started freezing randomly when multitasking. when I was on my 106 hybrid everything worked flawlessly. I could be on AIM, Internet, BB messenger, playing music and playing brickbreaker all at the same time no lag, glitches or freezing. Im happy with my 106 hybrid.
On that note, has anyone else experienced Freezing on 109 on tmobile?

Very interesting, I've never messed with any of the hybrid versions. Maybe it's worth a few min to go searching.

This isn't a hybrid. There is a hybrid out there, but this is a leaked OS we are talking about.
