I expect there is a way for me to view my calendar on a curve 8320, but each time I switch to look at my calendar it hangs up the person on the phone. Can I really not look at my calendar while on the phone? Makes it hard to coordinate appointments through a phone conversation...

You should be able to use the two concurrently. Strange that using the calendar will end your call. Try a reset or battery pull and see if the problem is still there.

Viewing your calendar should not be a problem, but if you send an invite via email then the demand for the data network will override the phone and terminate any active call.

When on a phone call you can push the "back" button (right beside the red phone key) and you can get back to the home screen and select your calendar. It may come up with a warning asking if you want to go back to the home screen.

Alt-Esc also works during a call just like it does with any other app.
