Default english UK update question in desktop manager

Please Login to Remove!

hi there,

so i was updating my new 8900 to .152 and after it successfully finished updating i opened desktop manager and it said there was one update available for English UK language support. should i go ahead and update it or no?

i just hit cancel, but i am wondering if i should update.

let me know.

thanks so much,

I would hit cancel. I am not sure why it happens this way. The only workaround which I can think of to prevent this is to uninstall the device software once you have loaded it to your berry.

i just hit update and now it doesn't ask me for it anymore. i looked in the about menu on the phone and i still have the new .168 firmware so i think everything is working.

when i hit update it took me to another screen and then said your software is up to date.

anyone else notice this after updating their 8900 and then opening desktop manager and getting the UK language support update prompt?

I'm guessing yours worked without hassle? I assumed my install borked because mine is a UK berry.....
