Default Sorry, your session has expired...

Please Login to Remove!

In trying to see if I could get rid of the sleep mod lag in the latest OS, I just did a Java wipe and reload of the latest OS. All went perfectly, except that now when I try to install Live Messenger or Google Talk from the home screen icons, I get the message --

"Sorry, your session has expired. Please close all of your browser windows and then return to the welcome page to start again."

Well, I've changed browsers, cleared the caches, rebooted a few times and it still persists.

If you're going to tell me to load Jive Talk, please don't waste your time as I tried it and as nice as it may appear to some, IMO, the RIM apps are better, cleaner looking and are FREE.

I'm looking for a solution to fix this problem so I can load the RIM apps...

Any constructive help would be appreciated --

Hmm...
Something you have said has me a tad confused:

"...except that now when I try to install Live Messenger or Google Talk from the home screen icons, I get the message..."
Yet you state having tried from different Browsers. Regardless though....

1.) Plug BB into PC.
2.) Open up Desktop Manager.
3.) Go into Backup and Restore > Advanced
4.) On the right, clear each database for Browser Bookmarks, Browser Data Cache, Browser Folders, Browser Options, Browser Push Options, Browser URLs.
5.) Pull battery.
6.) Cross fingers
7.) Wish upon a shooting star
8.) Insert battery and try again

If that fails...

Were you trying to load these apps before or after you loaded the restore file? Restore files can be funky beasts with prior apps. You may want to wipe the phone and install them again before loading your restore data on to the phone.

Good luck!

No that was not it -- none of the solutions would have worked and the link above is the same that appears on the download from the home screen.

Turns out it was totally a RIM issue. It must have been rectified this evening, because I was able to download both as I write this. When I Googled the error today, there were 2 instances that popped up with the same error, one here and one on another forum, both dated yesterday and today only, which is why I'm sure this was a RIM problem. The phone had been completely wiped and when the service books got sent from Bell Mobilite, those apps appeared on the home screen as downloads, so there's nothing more to do than click and download upon a new OS install. Thanks for the help though!
