Can download desktop manager just fine but can't seem to download just the OS to my system! Please help!

Are you sure that you are following ALL the steps EXACTLY?

Did you download the OS to your COMPUTER?
Did you INSTALL the phone OS to your computer?
Did you DELETE the vendor.xml file from the correct folder on your computer?

You do not need to delete the vender file if you are getting the newest APPROPRIATE file for your BlackBerry by your carrier. Below is the latest version for you 8310 from AT&T

drizz, how do you know that is what they want?

Reading the OP here, sounds like their having problems download, not in deleting the vendor file, or not.

I don't know, I am just stating that this is the newest PROPER version for their phone by their carrier and IF this is the one they want, .... here it is. and also no need to delete the vender file.

Not being able to DL might also mean, cant find it. So I gave the location. Also most people that I have come across think once you Dl it, that it is installed, and miss the step that you need to install it to the PC first, so the steps motercycle mama already gave were accurate( except for vender file if getting a proper file for carrier)
