Default Very frustrated... cannot connect to manager

Please Login to Remove!

I need to update my software ASAP.

However the desktop manager will NOT connect to my BlackBerry. It's a brand new computer with no USB problems - I have used the USB with several, several other devices and it works fine so the problem has nothing to do with the USB system.

I have tried with TWO bolds, and when I plug them in, it asks for my password on the device manager, I enter it, and then nothing happens.

When I go to connection options I have the following options: <none> or USB

I select USB and nothing happens.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled this program several times and it just doesn't work.

I'm about 5 seconds away from smashing my BlackBerry and my computer!

All I want to do is backup my BB so that I can wipe it and install new software.

I'm running Windows Vista.

Thanks

What version of DM?

Are you on BES by any chance?

Are you plugging the BB into a HUB? Best results seem to be when plugged directly into a USB port on the BACK of the PC.

I am on BIS.

It would be the newest version of DM, 4.7 I believe.. I just downloaded it today.

I am plugging it into a port, tried both the back and front, and still nothing.

But, the issue definitely isnt with the port, because when I plug it in, the computer recognizes it and I have the option to explore my BB files (pictures, music etc).
