Default None of my 3rd party apps keep their settings after OS update..

I had this same problem on my old Curve too. Every time I update my OS, I lose all my settings (examples being MaraTick lists, JiveTalk sign on names/passwords, Berry411 locations, etc). What am I doing wrong? With new Javelin OS' being released weekly or more I hate losing my settings so often.

This is normal, I too need to set everything up after an upgrade/downgrade.

Is there anyway to keep these settings? I seem to remember either sanders or clark telling me once that they never had to redo all their settings, but I don't know how.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

I have checked the box that reads keep 3rd party apps that you are referring to.
It hasn't helped me. I have often had to reinstall the items.

I think you are referring to not having to re-load the actual 3rd party apps which you don't have to as long as the boxes are checked. Flash is correct though, you will lose your setting each time you upgrade/downgrade. I don't believe there is anything you can do about this. I could be wrong though....

Before each upgrade I do a full sync and backup and it seems to keep my settings. This might just be a fluke but I know that the last two times that I upgraded the OS it has kept my settings. I used to spend about 30 minutes each time I upgraded just to redo my Opera Mini bookmarks. I have noticed that a lot of programs still require me to accept the user agreement .

Some settings stay, some don't... I always lose my facebook messages, but not my opera bookmarks (I think). I lost my Google Maps favourites, which kind of sucks.

As far as opera is concerned, you can sync it online. Google maps still does not do this, which is a pain, I agree.

I had this prob when I went to .174, but due to bugs I reverted to .168.
When I went back, LogicMail, RDM+ all had their previous settings. I only had to reinput log in for facebook. I actually had 2 facebook icons, 1 of which takes me to the browser...weird but thats my 2 cents
