Well considering that the pearl only has 64 ram you need to monitor what you install what I have is twibble a mapping software from my carrier facebook palringo docs to go that comes with latest firmware and google sync I tried others and after uninstallind progs the memory doesn't seem to increase so I figured something wrong with BB architecture I don't know but every time I try something I am sure I need a wipe and reload I am now happy with 20 mb of ram available to me when I am mobile all day and phone is fast as normal just remember its a phone not a PC

lol Edit when I got home, this part on is through a PC

well back to the point again, it is a phone, I use it as a business tool, a browser like I posted to you lot, an MP3 player, and a twitter and facebook client on the move. I can not ask for much more out of my pearl, and I still as i said above have 20 MB left on it at the end of the day after doing what I do with them, and once a week I push the quickpull oh so yeah I added quickpull to the list to recap

quickpull
facebook
twibble
3 emails pushing
mp3 player (4gb micro SDHC, with 3gb of mp3s and the rest maps)
GPS navigation map thingy
palringo for IM when I need to (3 accounts, facebook chat, yahoo, and msn messenger)
weatherbug for weather push
google sync, just in case I need to resync my contacts and calendar after a reflash.

hmm that's about it, and the top 5 I use day in and day out. I only have to push quickpull every other day (may be no more than twice a week).

Look after your pearl it's not called that for nothing.

Default Quickpull

I downloaded quickpull and when I looked for it there was an icon on my desktop that looked like a shredder, I think it was called memory cleaner or something. Anyways when I activated it, it cleared a checklist of items and raised my memory.

Then I found the quickpull icon because I was trying to figure out how to schedule that cleaner and couldn't. I've since run the quickpull and now the shredder is gone!

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Is this the same thing as a Soft reset?

Most memory drains are coming from 3rd party apps, themes and apps running in the background. First thing I would do is uninstalling all 3rd party apps and themes. Then watch your pearl for about 24 hours. If the memory drain is gone, install the 3rd party apps again one at a time. After each install watch the memory of the Pearl for several hours. If you still have a memory drain, backup your data, wipe it and re-install the OS.

Pretty much...just adds a scheduling function. Have not used it yet though.
