Watoosy, try that link I posted above. I don't know what's going on but somehow you have downloaded a document and not a file. It should be 104mb.

Ok first back out of all that and open up control panel and add remove programs. Remove any traces of blackberry software you have installed. After it's done run that file you downloaded again. You shouldn't get those options then it should just go through.

Elusive, I have no idea what was so different about the file you uploaded, but I decided to give it a try anyway... Of course, the first time I use it, BAM. Loads up .113 on my phone. LOL. I must have tried 15 other times with the other links.... So, thanks!

Question though. Is it normal to have to re-register my email addresses and set all my tones again? I had to do both of those and its a pain to do....

On the positive side, the new software is a vast improvement from .075 and I am happy I made the upgrade. Thanks again!

Justbrollin I'm glad your seeing imorovement. I'm not sure why it didn't back up your contacts it backed mine up. Only thing I can think of is it didn't do a full backup. I did have to re register and setup tones again though.

Yeah, it wasnt horrible cause I had made a backup yesterday just in case this happened. I only lost one contact I added today and I have a paper copy of the info at work. So not a major deal...

Oh, and the backup restored all my tone settings as well, which I didnt know until now.

Default 4.7.0.113 114 Hybrid

I dont know about the so called bad experiences mentioned the Hybrid 113/114
is a huge improvent over the original 4.7.9.76

No fuss no mess on installation. No memory leaks to talk of and now a very slick operating phone.

I for the life of me cannot work out why RIM have not addressed the issues in question. Excuse me but we have a bunch of amateur hackers achieving what should have been done by professional programmers. Man its their jobs and livlihood not their hobby.

I haven't done it yet. Will later this morning. Since I still haven't been able to back up, I am hoping that it will do some automatically (click right box, right). Also, how do I go about reregistering my phone? I am hooked up through my employer's network.

Its odd cause now my email messages do not go into their individual boxes and into the messages box. They only go into the messages box which is a bummer cause I do not know which account they originated from.

Anyone know how to fix this?
