It seems that they fixed the battery issue in Japan and Docomo released some new device software (V4.6.0.224) this April. (Release date was April 7, 2009 actually.)

Has anybody tried it yet? It seems that you could press the right shift key to type in Japanese. Would be interested to know. Thanks!!
