Please Login to Remove!

Its very annoying as it pops up asking -- the opera would like to access this ot that--- and then you have to choose yes or no.

is there a way to stop it from asking this??

I don't believe so. It only asks you to allow it to access their server when you initially launch the application. Every time you close and re-open it, it will need to reconnect to their server and need your permission to make the connection.

Bolt does the same thing. Unlike the BlackBerry Browser, these browsers render the pages on their servers, that's why they load quicker.

Actually there is a way. Turn on your firewall (Options>Security Options>Firewall). When you do it, the first time you start up Opera, it'll ask you for permission again. Select both boxes they present you. There might be another option that says don't ask again. After you do that once you won't have to deal with the prompt anymore.

it happens repeatedly when I try to attach a pic from the SD Card.

as you scroll to the one/folder/file you want-----it keeps asking that question and messing up the selection so its a whilllllllle to attach

In my case, I was NOT able to resolve it that way and just live with the pop up

I think a couple people are confusing accessing the network with the OP's question of Opera asking for permission everytime when navigating folders on the SD card. I haven't tried to see if there's a way to auto allow that myself, I just click to allow it each time.

I don't think so, besides enabling the firewall can interfere with some 3rd party apps, like Weatherbug Dircect.

Only works for the message you get when you first start Opera. Doesn't work if you try to access your SD card like attaching a file for an email.
