Should work just fine. Keep in mind if you are coming from Verizon you will need to actually delete the Vendor file this time around.

I installed .113 using DM yesterday and I agree...it is MUCH snappier! My question however is when Verizon starts pushing out .113, how can i switch to the official version? Is the original OS backed up automatically when using DM? If not...can someone shed some light for me?

Thanks!

I tried .113 it was very fast and nice. But the problem I had was my EDGE went to edge and would not connect. I have an unlocked at&t 9530 and .75 keeps solid EDGE on that os. I hope the official .113 will do better.

running .113 for a while now love it phone runs better, however, it could improve, so im curious has anyone using .113 jumped ship to .122 if so how is the comparison? im reading more responsive keyboards on typing which would be an added plus.

I installed the 113 last night....previously was 75. I am glad to have the opportunity to get this because I was about to throw my hands up and give up on the BB storm...
I suffered as many and all of the problems users had with the storm... Aggravating because it reduced productivity and became distracting...
these phones were not meant to be so distracting...
the phone is a different animal ever since I installed 113....

thanks to all on this thread who helped with the installation....

Ok I just finished installing .132. Everything seems the same so far and that is fine with me. .113 did wonders for me so I'm still happy with his new release. I did run into a couple issues however they were easily fixed.

First I had to manually restore my apps/data using restore feature in DM for some reason. The other problem was my browser disappeared. I just re registered my phone under options advanced options ( I think host routing table) reset my phone and everything was back to normal.

Hi there,

Since it is the first time i am purchasing a blackberry device, i would like to know, can i upgrade/install other versions as you have in my device ? I am at Kuwait at present and shall purchase an unlocked device from US. I think there are some performance issues at present in the device.

Can you please guide about this.

Thanks in advance,

Drivesafely.

Which carrier are you on? Yes you can install other os on your storm but it's recommended that you learn the INS and outs of your blackberry before you upgrade. There are plenty of help guides to help you through the process. My advice is to run through the phone for a few weeks, get the hang of it, and then upgrade if you feel the need.

I upgraded to .113 a week ago and everything was definitely better. However now for some reason (I'm not sure if I just not noticed this) but I cannot use my browser. I click on link and it starts to load and it just sits there requesting info. Then I get an error message after about 60 seconds stating . I have verizon and my signal is 1XEV. I never had a problem when I had .75. I did the obligatory battery pull and it still will not allow me to access the web. Any ideas?

I also just upgraded to .132 and I had the EXACT same issue with the browser. Sending the service books did the trick for me as well. I am really enjoying .132 so far.
