Default Facebook Update .32 messed up my phone...

Please Login to Remove!

Just a word of caution to anyone installing this update, my phone got all screwed up. I don't know if it was just me, but wanted to throw it out there. After the upgrade I rebooted and when my phone started up again it hung on a blank white screen. I ended up pulling the battery because it was like that for 15 minutes, and got it started up to the T-Mobile splash screen. It was stuck there, but my left conviennce key still worked and it ran capture it..... I then turned off the phone holding 'end' and turned it back on to get around the hanging, and now can use my phone but a lot of system icons like the calendar and profiles are now missing. Like I said, just a word of caution when installing because I have never had this happen to me with any app I upgraded or downloaded. Oh well there are always backups! Also running .206 on the 8900.

My bad I thought that was more of an announcement thread than issues but I didn't skip to the end.

Yeh it mentions 3 people who download .32 and none have reported back with issues...
im downloading now.
we'll see what .32 fixes over .31 and if it works

EDIT: no difference found in .32 and installed, rebooted (battery pull not click on reboot now message) and my phone was fine.

Ok turns out it was because I was using a custom theme... I had no idea that would be a problem as prompted reboots have not been a problem in the past. I just happened to read a post about quickpull messing things up on a reboot if you used a custom theme and to switch to a factory one so I figured I would try it. I switched it back to the stock T-Mo one and battery pulled it and now everything is all good and it's working after an uninstall/reinstall... Took me all day to figure out tho haha! I feel like a moron, but oh well now I know! Hope this info may help some others in the same boat as me.

My only issue was with the upgrade install process. I left .31 in place and downloaded the upgrade. It seemed to install ok, but I never got the icon. I waited over an hour, did a battery pull, resent service books - still no icon.

Then I deleted the app completely, re-D/Led the .32 and installed. It rebooted, and the icon was there... seems ok since, but installing the upgrade for me was a major PITA. Still very much 'meh' about the app in general.

Strange.
When choosing upgrade and once isntalled, it overwrite the over app (it says do you want to install the newer version) so the app icon never goes away.
Mine was still where I left it.
