Hi,
So I downloaded the OS for 8320 version 4.5.0.124 onto my desktop and installed it to my pc. I even updated my Desktop Manager to the latest version 4.7 (I believe). So I plug in my phone and start the desktop manager and it says "new software found 4.5" so it does the whole connecting to device thing and the next thing ya know it says "no software updates were found." ??????????? I currently have 4.5.0.81 on my Blackberry and I dont know why its not working?

Did you delete the vendor file?

Did you uninstall the old device software in control panel and delete the vendor.xml file?

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Follow these three things and it will upgrade. I think the step you are skipping is #3. You don't use the Desktop Manager to upgrade the phone. You do it using the Loader.exe.
