Default New T-Mobile 8320

I just upgraded from a Pearl to an 8320. My daughter is now using the Pearl. My 8320 came with .081 and I want to upgrade it to .174. I have it downloaded but have not yet installed it to my computer. One question, do I need to remove the Pearl OS's I have installed before installing the 8320 .174 version? I still want to be able to keep the Pearl up to date using this same computer. Worst case I can reinstall to the computer whatever OS I need just before updating the BB.

Thanks, in advance

No, you don't need to uninstall other OS's. The application loader can distinguish what to load to each device. It will load the newest OS for each device type.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Yesterday, I tried updating my OS (a different version than this) and something failed. I couldn't turn my blackberry on ever since. It just keeps blinking the red light. I already updated the desktop manager and downloaded this OS. I've followed the instructions step by step, including deleting vendor file. Every time I try installing an OS, I get this message "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation." Can someone help me? I've been at this for twenty four hours now :( Desperately in need for some guidance!

Default Curve 8300

All the references that I see are for the 8320. I have the Curve 8300. Will this upgrade work for my BB.

Thanks

Yoshi. If you have a 8300, you need to download the 8300 OS. The 8320 OS will not work on your 8300.

Here's a link to what you need: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ast-asian.html

I'm sure one of the many carriers has released a milti-language version by now. Go to blackberryfaq.com and there is a faq that has all the carriers and their respective download links. Search the European carriers like O2, etc.

I follow the instructions and If, for some reason, ended up with the white screen with small icons and the number 507. Also reconnect the BB to the PC and ran Loader.exe hoping that it should load the OS to the device. It did it but lacking some applications like the BBMessenger. So I connect it again, selected the rest of missing applications and through the DM -> Applicaation Loader and it started updating the BB. After 45 min I ended again with the white screen with small icons and the number 507 and DM saying it was not able to connect with the device. Now the BB is not even recognize by the computer once I plug in the USB cable and I stuck to the white screen. Please tell me there is a solution and I don't have to bin my new BB. Many thanks in advance....

Just loaded the new OS today, actually earlier this morning. At first I was kinda nervous to do so, since some have experience issues with the install. Got especially nervous when I saw the white screen with the icons and the code 507, but it only came up for a few seconds and continued with the install. Took about 45-50 minutes just as stated. Everything works good so far, no issues of as yet. Now time to go over to get the new OS for my Pearl 8100.

Does anyone know if there's a new release coming anytime?

And if there's a signifigant release coming as well?

I don't talk to my RIM friends so much at the moment and others have left for other jobs.

This is the last of the 4.5 releases. 5.0 will be the next release.
