I did. In fact I ran the whole process again, and still it shows the same version. Any other thoughts?

Are you trying to load through DM or with the Loader.exe? I would delete any other OS's you may have installed on your PC.

What is DM?

I am using loader, as per the instructions.

Also, now my wifi is not working. Geez no new OS and wifi no longer working.

DM is desktop manager.

Go into Add/Remove programs and delete all OS's that you have installed. Then re-download and install this OS, remove the vendor.xml file, reboot your PC and try again.

I am confused. The instructions say to download the OS...however, when I go to the download page, it says I need to download the DM first and run it before the OS.

Do I need to download and run both the DM software(which version) and the OS software, but run it after the DM software?

You want to select BlackBerry® Bold (TM) 9000 smartphone from the dropdown and then click on the download link below BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.0.451 (Multilanguage).

I'll tell you what, this build is so far the best i've ever encountered for my Bold.

One of the key uses of the phone is A2DP audio streaming to my car's head unit as i drive to and form work and the CLARITY and sound quality from it is unreal! I've never heard the music so crisp and that's with unaltered settings on the headunit!

Also all the other minor niggles that my Bold has suffered in the past have been rectified so i shan't be upgrading this software version in a hurry

I am a BES user...

I did the following (below) and didn't really notice a performance increase in loading up the new OS, however it did seem to load in the OS quicker.

I use to have ROM v4.6.0.210 (4.0.0.181)

New load in settings:

English UK
Attchment Service
Maps
Messenger
BrickBearker
Help
MemoPad
Passwork Keeper
TTY Suppory
Tasks
Word Mole
Documents to Go
Klondike
Suoku
Texas Hold'Em King 2
Facebook
Windows Live Messenger

Do not automatically back up and restore the device application data during the loading process.

Re-issued a password to do the EA, no problems so far.

Andrew

Default Wi-fi??

I am connected to my home Wi-Fi. I am seeing the connection on the device but when I am surfing the net it is using data not Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi icon stays dull. Anyone noticing this?? I am using .266 update

My wifi is not working after successfully upgrading my OS. However, when I try to check my wifi, it asks me to add it to my router. When I setup my router I added my BB to it. So maybe upgrading the OS, forces me to re-add my bb to the list of allowed devices on my wireless network or gives access to my bb.

I'll let you know what I find out.

When I searched for my network I had to set it up again. Then when I went to save the network name it asked if I want to replace the current existing with the same network name...and I said yes. It worked. I thought, that I wouldn't have to do that since my bb already had my network saved in it's listing of wifi networks. Try searching your wifi network as if it had not yet been added. That's how I got mine to work.

HTH

cheers,
