Default Not Receiving Emails, Battery Dies in Hours

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

Help!! Since yesterday, I have not been receiving emails, BIS and BES. MY facebook app doesn't send me new messages, etc.

My battery has been running out in just a few hours. The hourglass has been constantly on.

I did a search but didn't find anything useful. I think that most of my apps are off, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I have an 8320.
Apps include Facebook, WSJ, Viigo, BB 411, Google Maps, BB Msngr.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

thanks!

Are you in a good network coverage area?

Battery pull? How much free memory do you have?

I'm in a really good coverage area. Capital EDGE (TMo) with 5 bars.

And did the hard battery pull about 4 times now. Checked memory, and there is plenty...

What happens when you try to send a message? Does it give you a check mark or red X?

i have my sent messages hidden, so can't really see it.

But emails that I send from my phone are going through. I sent a test email from my BB (BES) to my gmail account, and the email came through on gmail (had to check it on my computer though)...

In Messages > Options > Email Settings, do you have Send Email to Handheld set to Yes?

Also, go to Messages > Options > Email Settings > Menu Key > Folder Redirection and make sure you have a check mark next to Mailbox.

I have a check mark next to Inbox... Is that what I need?

It doesn't allow you to checkmark Mailbox

Nothing specifically.
I was at work and realized that phone had dinged to alert me of any new emails. So when i checked it, i saw the battery was really low (i had charged it overnight).

And since then I haven't received any emails (BES or BIS), no Facebook messages, and my phone runs out of battery every 2 hours.

I am still able to send and receive SMS texts, BB Messenger msgs and browse the web...

Have you tried resending your service books?

Have you talked to your IT staff about the BES mail not being received?

Is that sort of the last resort now?
