On the BB Storm is there a way to connect to a wireless home or office network where you may not have cellular signal? I heard Howard Stern talking about it but don't see settings for it. Is there any advantage to connecting for Internet use even where you have a cell signal? I.e. Speed battery consumption etc.?

The Storm does not have WiFi. Perhaps he was thinking about the Bold or Javelin.

At present I believe only tmobile's have UMA which let's you make calls using a wifi connection.
