Unhappy Keyboard Drama

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, bit of a panic here. My pearl 8100 Green Answer key, the blackberry key the trackwheel click function and the back button have all stopped working. The device was in a trouser pocketall last evening and tried to use it at the end of the evening and found this fault.

I have tried a hard reset

All the other keys work inc the Red key and the trackwheel navigates fine

Please help

thanks Andy

Moisture damage is a typical cause of keyboard problems. And it apparently doesn't take much. People have reported a sweaty pocket doing it. Any possibility that's your problem?

Remove the battery, let it dry out. Search the forum on wet blackberry and get lots of advice on methods.

FYI, the key is removing battery asap if you get your blackberry wet, and don't put it back too soon. Maybe you are in luck if this is a moisture problem and the water didn't get beyond the keys.
