I take that blackberrys are not secure to do banking ? I notice when I go online (web) this is a padlock in upper right corner and is always unlocked.

I have done my banking with my blackberry for several years. Never had a problem. I do not see any different than using a PC in terms of security

I check my bank balances several times a day from my bb pearl 8100. I have never had any issues.

I don't recall the shortcut on suretype, but bring up the page address and check if it is https. If so, you're good. That said, I still wouldn't do banking or credit card purchases on a wireless connection if I were someplace like ATL or DCA or BWI, i.e. grand central station. But that's me. And I am open to changing my mind.

By the way, the padlock you see is in the banner that can be toggled on and off at the top of the browser, correct? ..... If so, I'm sure you would see a closed lock if the URL is https. But are you saying you see https and the lock is open?

Banking on your BB will be more secure then banking on your PC.. No need to worry about Spyware/Keyloggers on your BB..

Some backs even have mobile friendly sites.. like Bank Of America.

To have really secure connections with the BlackBerry, don't you need to set the SSL to "handset" instead of "proxy" - correct?
