I installed it on two Blackberries. The first, I downloaded twice and couldn't find the icon. So, I deleted the application, re-downloaded and re-installed. That fixed it. So, on the wife's, I deleted the application first, downloaded and installed. That worked right away.
I guess there is a new technique to installing until the fix this code a bit.

Worked for me on first try on Sprint 8330.
I like the new features, but it seems slower.

Where are you guys downloading it from? I checked the Application Center, App World and even tried the Facebook Update under the Options. No go.
Edit: Never mind, found it by going to facebook.com

Works good on my new javi as well. It was slow for the first few minutes of peaking around. my only gripe is where it defaults to. However, just know the keyboard shortcuts and ull be fine

I'm a big fan of keyboard shortcuts vs. using the track ball, but I was not aware of shortcuts in the FB app.....please share.

When will they sync your facebook inbox with messages?
Why should we have to delete messages twice with a bb? Makes no sense to me.
The photo management is a huge upgrade, though.

On 1.5, I was able to select the "BlackBerry Calendar application" in options. However, on 1.6, both the calendar and contacts are not selectable (messages is).
Anybody else having this problem?

Does the version fix the calender issue?
1.5 use to "take over" the default calender even though it was set not to sync calender events.
thanks

For those with Calendar / Contact issues on BES - read the bottom of this page.

You'll need to import some ITPolicy rule definitions...
New IT Policy rules have been created to allow administrators to block this feature for BlackBerry smartphone users activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. For more information and for instructions on how to import these new policy rules, see KB15535.

This version is vastly better than 1.5 was. I love the new interface and the fact that you can view profiles within the app.
Also, viewing pictures is much nicer.
I think this version is better than the Iphone/Ipod Touch version.

Installed it.. A nice improvement.. Is there a way to view the photos that I uploaded in SlideShow format? So far I've only seen the improved photo viewing for friends/buddies.

no slideshow as far as i can see. and in terms of more features, it allows you to see a rough profile view of peoples profiles. also, you can navigate thru your notifications (which are on the homepage right as you would log in thru a compy).
its a much needed update with alot of future potential.
