We don't have CDMA networks over here in the UK, but I will say that 3G will get you up to 3.5meg in most coverage and if you can get HSDPA converage up to 7.5 meg

No specific date was given for the Tour launch, only middle to late July. The Pearl Flip is set to launch in two weeks.

Hey, try downloading using ATT when you're at a big sporting event, like an NFL football game if you want to experience the "slow pipeline" phenomenon lol

Actually if you are getting 3.5meg then that is already hsdpa speed, anything higher than 384kb/s actually means you are on a hsdpa-enabled cell and then the speed can vary very widely due to all the various factors such as distance from the cell and the loading on the cell.

I'm not sure if you are talking of a pipeline in the sense of the connection between the cell and the rest of the network and if that is the case then you are somewhat mistaken since the limiting factor at something like a sporting event would be the simple fact that in mobile networks there are a finite amount if users that can be connected at any one time.

I am thinking late July. The 8230 may dictate this a bit.

I got to hold a Sprint Tour today. Mmmmmmmm.... I wanted it badly.
I didn't care for the location of the charging port...on the right side about even with the keyboard. Odd place for it.

Is it further away from the audio jack?
When I plug in my Audio to my car via 3.5, and charge it at the same time I get a static from the charging port, hopefully this is resolved.

The charging port is on the opposite side of the device then the audio jack now.

I am actually glad to hear that, hopefully I won't get that interference when I charge my device and play audio threw the 3.5 mm jack!!
