Typing this on a bus right now while tethered. I love my BB. Anyways, I just picked up a generic BB pouch from one of those wireless booths at the mall. It's made by Bytech and fits pretty nice. The only problem is that the magnet for suspend sits a little too low and doesn't quite make the device suspend.

I was wondering if anyone knew how the magnet suspend feature works and whether it does anyhting more than just turn off the LCD...cause place the BB against something without light will automatically turn off the lcd.

Just wondering how much benefit I would get from having a pouch that did have a magnet...anyone?

I believe that the magnet simply activates something within the BB that turns the screen off. The unit is still completey on and working. So, I think using the word "suspend" may be a bit mis-leading for you. The major benefit for turning the screen off is short-term battery life (and I assume screen life (over time). Hope this helps.

The magnet does two things: turns the screen off (battery saver) and also sets the BB to "In Holster" mode. Check out "Profiles" for In Holster and Out of Holster settings.

It doesn't suspend anything.
