Default Headphones?

Please Login to Remove!

I switched from the Storm to the Tour today (how many VZW customers will be saying that in the coming weeks??!?). With the Storm I could use any standard set of headphones (without a mic attached) and hear music. This Tour won't recognize any set of headphones lacking a mic, but works with a set of "body glove" mic/stereo headphones I bought to use while bike riding (both kinds, they make good earplugs while on a motorcycle, BTW). Anyone else try a standard set of headphones and experience the same issue? Is it time for a cool set of bluetooth cans for the subway?

Holy impulse buy, Batman! A Motorola S7HD Stereo Bluetooth Headset will be on my ears within a week, so since I answered question #2 for myself, the answer to my first question is diminishing rapidly...

I've been able to use a standard set of iPod headphones and Shures without issue.

I'm using my shure e3c's and they work just fine. I saw a post about someone who had to swap out their device because of a faulty headphone jack - you might want to get a new one.

That is a little disheartening. iPod headphones were the second standard set I tried. Still looking forward to untethered listening over a trip to the Verizon Store.

I had a funny behavior the other day - plugged my BB into a cable jacked into Aux in my car and it kept bringing up voice dialing...

Worked eventually, but, how stupid is that?

Slightly weird.

Depends on what type of app you are running while in bed
