Phone > Options > General Options > Change Restrict My Identity to Yes

Be warned that "broke" my T-Mobile voicemail. Didnt really break it, but afterwards I had to go through prompts to identify my mailbox each time I checked it. Because my number was hidden, the voicemail system could not automatically detect who I was.

FYI... there is no "restrict my identity" on the 7520.

You can use *67 before dialing a phone number which will turn off the caller id for the one call.

*82 removes the block. With Nextel the block only remains for the first call.. the second call out it will be unblocked.

Here's where I got the info from...

no those codes relate to outbound calling. If you have caller id turned on, and you don't want the the person you are calling to see your number, do the *67 and your caller id will be blocked.

If you have caller id turned off and you want the person you are calling to see your number on their caller id, then *82<phone number>.

Inbound calls showing "unknown" or "private", it's impossible to do anything to see these.
