I've been checking thru out the morning to see if they update appworld. I had been getting 1.0.0.30. Now all the sudden I'm getting a my device is not supported. Either I broke it or mayve they're beginning to move stuff over.

Having read this, I suddenly thought Id go have a look.
and YES!
1.1.0.11 App World Available to download.

So what's New?

New interface
A ridiculasly long terms agreement before the "i accept" option.
featured items remais the same
categories remains the same
NEW Top Free Icon
NEW Top Paid Icon
search and my world icon remains the same.

Top Free Icon gives the top 25 rated Free Apps.
Top Paid Icon gives the top 25 Paid Apps.

Caetgories are now alphabetical and include more sub categories.
There is also a SORT BY drop down box in the right hand corner, once entered a category/subcategory.

in My World, shows available APP memory in top right hand corner.

search has sort by drop down box once a keyword has been entered.

GREAT!

Also to add.
Does not hog memory as much.
Been browsing for about 5 mins and mem is only at 50mb. usually would be at about 40 with the old version.

new interface includes slide in/slide out of reviews/screenshots etc.

was using via wi-fi but did have a little bit of a lag when scrolling/loading app lists etc.

Wirelessly posted (My blond BlackBerry)

I can't get the new version to work. Installed it with the English language option, and the TOS was in Spanish (thank God for the space bar letting me page thru that).

Then it keeps giving errors that it cannot connect to the AppWorld servers. All of my other data services (with Sprint) are working fine.

I removed it, rebooted, and reinstalled and it still won't connect.

I've removed it again. Piece of crap.

"Server probably doesn't have an entry for our device model"

That is in my event log... I figure it will work eventually...

That's pretty lame to release a product that is not compatible with the latest devices.

RIM Fail.

I also tried it on my personal 8330.

Haven't tried it on my work Tour, though.

The Blackberry App World icon remains unchanged for me...no red star. I also noticed that there is no update option in the app world menu...I'm just going to wait, I guess.

I re-installed the App World and non of my software that I originally installed from BB App World is there.. So I'm taking a break from App World until I see something I want.

Besides, anyone notice the fact that BlackBerry App World is listed as Application within the BB App World?? What's up with that? lol

I noticed the second thing, yes.

for the first, you need to go menu - log in, and anything you purchased i.e. paid for, will be loaded into the my world area.
