Default Turn off screen during charging

Please Login to Remove!

When not charging, the timeout kicks in and the screen goes blank.

When charging....it seems to either dim on the main screen forever. I've played around with bedside mode, off/on and other settings, and can't seem to find the right combo so so that when I am charging the BB, it will just timeout and the screen will go blank.

I have a BB tour. Took a 2 year hiatus from BB and now I am back
Been using it even before RIM was making phones with the BB

Not really a problem. Just can't get the screen to go off-blank when I am charging the phone

Wirelessly posted

Hold Mute for a second and it'll go into standby and the screen will shutoff.

come on man. This is simple. You must not have "played" with it enough.

Goto your clock.
Press Menu then select "OPTIONS"

The first options for CLOCK You have and can change
Clock Face:
Home Time Zone:
When Charging:

Then there is a button below "When Charging" That says "SET TIME."

Under "When Charging" there are 3 options in this order
Do Nothing
Display Clock
Enter Beside Mode

"Do Nothing" sounds like the thing you want, which means the phone will just charge and not enter a beside mode or display the clock.

Viola!

The backlight goes off on mine while charging. All I do is hit the back button when the clock comes up, which happens when I conntect it. The back button goes back to the homescreen and the backlight goes off normally.

Default Where is mute?

Yesterday, my phone gave me a message that the keyboard was locked and to press mute. I can't find it? I was googling for a restaurant name and I had to do a battery pull to get rid of that message cause I could not find mute.

and then it took like 5 minutes to come back on.

All I know is how to click on speaker and mute it.

I know this is simple, but where is it?

Thx

No reply needed, I found it in the manual. Think the mute key is hard to find?
