Please Login to Remove!

I keep getting the error of "TO RECORD A VIDEO, INSERT A FORMATTED MEDIA CARD".

I had a bold and i was able to straight up record onto the phones memory.. why on the 8900 ATT not able to do so??

Any ideas? or fixes?
Thanks!!

No, the 8900 will not be able to record video without a media card. The Bold has 1GB of internal media memory, as well as 128MB of application memory. The Curve 8900 only has the 256MB of application memory, but requires a media card for video.

Got it.

Now all in all.. what the real benefit of having a memory card? Video, Pictures, mass storage, sim card contacts storage... is this about it? and will my phone operate faster if i get one of these and install the few apps i have onto it? (google maps, berry411, bbm 5.0, opera mini)

I don't believe you can install applications directly to the memory card. The main benefit is for media storage, things like pictures, music, documents, etc.

I am currently running 4.6.1.231 and feel it is really solid.
