I have been using BB's ever since they first came out and have never experienced this problem. Just bought a new Tour and every time I try and modify a sound profile ALL of the profiles on the phone are saved the same way! For example, if I set my "vibrate only" profile to obviously vibrate only...all of the other profiles settings (normal, loud, medium, silent etc) get changed to vibrate only too!. Even if I create a custom profile...all my other profiles will become a carbon copy of the custom profile ring tone settings. Point being, I am only able to have 1 profile setting and this setting gets copied onto all my other profile settings.

Anyone have any tips on how to solve this problem? I'm trying to avoid a trip to the Sprint store.

It's a feature of the BB OS 4.6 and above - the sounds are all the same in the profiles, you can just change the volume and vibration settings.

Just make your own custom profile. I made two. One for the office and a "Loud2"....I find it a lot better than dealing with having to change it....maybe next OS will fix it but for now u can do that.
