Hi,

My Bold won't allow me to open attachements. It was working fine. I can't open pdf, wav, mp3, jpg, etc. I get "the attachment type cannot be viewed on your device blackberry."

I am on BES OS version 4.6.0.297

I've tried resending the policys and reactiviating with no luck.

Try a battery pull.

I upgraded the OS to the OS sticky'ed to the top of this forum and the problem fixed itself. Odd... but solved.

Had this problem with a client before. Every time this happens we had to restart the BES services on the server.

You need to check that the Blackberry Attachment Service is installed on your BB. To check go into options>advance>applications. If its not installed download the latest firmware for your provider and you should be able to install the BB attachment service via the BB Desktop Manager.

I did this and fixed the your exact problem on my Bold.
