Default How do you type on this thing???

Please Login to Remove!

Im ready for a BB so I stopped into my Verizon store and played around with them. The Storm (2) and Tour seem to be the most popular. I really like the storm touch screen but how do you type on this thing??
I would use it for texting, email, web & voice but I cannot get a single word typed in it. My hands are not fat so I don't think thats it. Tell me what I am doing wrong so I don't have to go to the trackball versions.

Don't think Verizon has them.

Suretype is the keyboard type. It's still QWERTY, but it has 2 letters per key (on most keys). It also has predictive text.

Start off by typing slow, and make sure you fully lift your finger from the screen after each click. It would be long before you are able to pick up speed.

I am also thinking that thumbs just wont cut it for me and maybe a fingernail will be more precise.
I am anxiously awaiting the storm 2 to appear now.
Thanks

Default Check carefully at first

I found it helped to just touch the key first. Don't click until you see the key light up - then you know you are clicking the right letters.

After a while you get the hang of it and get faster too.

The touch screen won't register fingernails, so that won't work any better for you. :\
