Default can't send or get MMS

Please Login to Remove!

Hope ya can help...

I just got the BB Bold 9000, it is unlocked and I am on T-mobile...I upgraded from a Pearl. With the Pearl I can get and send MMS and SMS without an issue. With the Bold, I can only get/send SMS. Do I need to do anything to the phone to be able to do MMS?

I also noticed that the icon with for texting only shows SMS...It used to say SMS and MMS. I conected the phone to the BB Manager, and it seems to have change since. Any help is appreciated.

Thanx!

in the upper right hand corner of your device does it say "3G" then the blackberry symbol or 3g in lower case with no BB symbol or EDGE or edge?

If its anything in lower case and the BB symbol isnt there that means ur not connected. Maybe you need to re-register the device. Do you have a "blackberry data plan" or just a data plan.
If all fails try a battery pull, doesnt hurt

It reads EDGE...and I do have a BB Data Plan on T-Mobile. I am reading and finding out that I have to somehow activate this feature...just not sure how.

Weeeird, Ive never heard of "activating" MMS. Its by your carrier and usually if you didnt have a plan for it it would charge you around .50 cents a message. I dont think it comes pre-blocked....maybe its different with TMO

Where did you get the device? Is it second hand? Is there an IT Policy on the device?

Sorry...this is all new to me. How would I do this...either get it from another BB or once Googled, what do I do to get it on the phone?

Sorry for the dumb questions.

Desktop manager....or

On your PC go to my.tmobile.com.
then login your phone# or account #.
You enter your phone as any blackberry phone, like one of the "curve" models.
go to <messaging> <set up blackberry email>
go to <service books>
go to<send service books>

In a few seconds your phone will receive the service books with a message, one for each of the email accounts you set up.
That's it!

Called Blackberry Support...they were GREAT. The service books were being block due to an Enterprise restriction. Wiped the phone and all is good.

Thanks to all for the help!

I am set up to send and receive MMS messages but when I send one it fails and I get a X by the side of the message. I have been on the BB web site and looked at the solutions but none seem to apply. My provider, Vodafone, told me that BB would send me a download but none seem available?

Does anyone know how on earth I (and my wife also using a Curve) can set up to send and receive MMS messages?
