My device fails to start, it shows the symptoms:

1. Keep restarting every 5 seconds.
2. It only show red LED light and follow up the white screen without any error message when it start up.

I try reinstall OS but still did not work for me due to whenever i connect my pearl to pc. It will keep restarting every 5 to 10 seconds. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot!!!

My 8110 started doing that on Friday night, as it was only 1 week 5 days old I took it back to Argos, the guy on the Customer Services Desk tested the phone saw the symptoms and replaced it. Did you have a failed OS upgrade or a failed add/remove applications prior to the phone dieing?

It's only a botched OS upgrade...
JL_Cmder would fix that right up... have to wipe the phone using command line options... it's easy, and it doesn't take days...

That, or run AppLoader with the extension
c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe /nojvm

If you plug it in to the PC and load apploader as windows first detects the device, you should see "unknown PIN" as a device for a few seconds before reboot...

Reload the OS and restore your data from the "LoaderBackupxx-xx-xx" in your documents folder, and bobs your uncle.

Its actually pretty hard to completely brick a blackberry...

It's more likely a media card related issue than a botched OS.

Remove the media card and see if the rebooting stops.

My Berry did the same as the OP and it still went into a re boot loop with no memory card inserted and I had to get it replaced, that's why I asked if it was a failed OS upgrade as my OS upgrade failed twice, but the second one was a total botch job that put it into a re boot loop.

Dear all,

Thanks for your solution. I already try to use JL_cmder and loader.exe /nojvm. Unfortunately, still not working. I use JL_cmder to connect my pearl, the result is no response from handheld. For loader.exe /nojvm, i took off the battery then it can detect my peral without reboot loop. But after i click on next, then it will restart immediately. Also i try to took all my sim and media card as well still not working. I think i can't find the way to wipe my peral...
