Default Free Messenger on BB 8520?

Please Login to Remove!

I had to cancel the BB plan cuz of the expense, but i can go on internet via wifi; what I didn't know was that Msn messenger, and others, don't work without the plan. If anyone knows of ways to use it w/o the expensive plans, that would be a great help. I also have unlimited text messaging. Just throwing that out there if anyone needs that info to help me.

Correct, the RIM apps for Facebook, Yahoo, Live messenger, etc., require the BlackBerry Data Plan.

You can get BeeJive to work using your carrier TCP settings.

You might be able to get just a messaging plan if they offer it. The plan I have from Rogers give me all unlimited instant messaging, texting, MSN, BBM, etc. but no data for web surfing. It would cost but not as much as a full data plan.
