PictureID version 2 has been released.


Full screen in Landscape mode.

PictureID is the ultimate full screen picture callerID and callerID blocking application for the BlackBerry. With full screen picture caller ID you can easily identify the caller. Assign different picture ID for different contacts. You can also assign a custom picture for caller’s who do not have caller ID information or blocked callers. PictureID can display the caller’s city location using the North America Area Code database. You can edit the area codes.

Use PictureID to block unwanted calls. For repeat offenders you can use Pickup and Hangup feature to answer and then hangup the call. This prevents the caller from leaving you a voicemail. The caller would just hear a busying signal or the operator message. Pickup and Hangup is the first on the Blackberry.

It's a tremendous concept... but not practical - at least not on my new Bold... the displays of the pictures was so slow that I was not usable. Fortunately, I got it on sale and had a 15% discount code as well. I wasted a whole $0.84 USD. But you won't get any more of my money...

The rub is that the trial version with the 10 picture limit was not that slow... but when I tried to set up about 35 phone numbers/photos, it took a dump. I figure that I got my money's worth (almost)... what did O expect for 84 cents?

Not to beat a dead horse over $0.84, but it did let me buy it... apparently there was no compatibility check at the POS...

I'm not sure if the web page did at the time, but it now has warnings for Bold users. The title specifying models also omits the Bold.

sorry i forgot to put in the compatibility list in this posting but if you visit our site it clearly states that pictureID full screen does not work on the Pearl flip, Bold, Curve 8900 and 8350i.

- added alpha blending to the caller id display text. you can set the alpha value and color in the Prefs screen

- added Save and Cancel buttons when you edit the area code

- added "Block Caller" menu item when you view the Message call log. When you select this the caller will be added to the Block database in PictureID

- changed new icons for Block Calls

- removed the white shadow when displaying the caller id info

Just tried it with my new 9700 and it works nicely.

I have purchased this program for the Storm 9530. The pictures display nicely but the phone automatically answers after about 1 second. I have tried allowing everything and it still doesn't work properly. Any ideas?

i used this app only problem when some one calls after answering phone continued to vibrate during conversation how do i stop this from happening bb8330
