Default What is this icon on my home screen?

Please Login to Remove!

right next to the word Tmobile, the icon is in green when on wifi, white when using the cell signal. I am using a Curve 8900.

Any ideas? I just noticed it last night...

Itxxx8217;s probably the status indicator for WiFi use. Rim support indicates it's green when active, off when not active and a red x in the circle when in an error condition. Your Theme may have placed it next to the Carrier name rather than the WiFi Logo.

It may be Roaming. Rim support is not clear on that icon and seems to suggest it's the status icon. It may be something only the carrier can answer unless someone finds another use. I would tend to go with you because the thing is so far from the WiFi logo.

It's the manage connection Icon. Choose your preferences as to conecting to what and when, or choose manually.

Are you all just guessing what it is? I am not roaming and I have always had it set to connect to the access point automatically. So not sure either of those two suggestions are right. Strange.

I did some reading on Rim's support site and as I stated their not very clear. Because you indicated it changes depending on WiFi use my thought is it is related to the service.
