Angry 8330 alert LED light won't stop blinking.

Please Login to Remove!

Throughout the day, my alert light usually is fine. Every now and then the LED light blinks even when I don't have a text/e-mail/missed call or anything. It doesn't stop blinking until I use SoftReset to remedy the issue. I have done a battery pull and it still has to plague me.

Anybody got any suggestions?

Yeah. This is called "phantom alert" or something like that... Basically, the os just misses the button that says "turn off that light!!"

Anyways, to fix it, you had the right idea with the reset thing. There is an app out there, however, the name slips away... Maybe someone else has that app... No?

Do you have Weatherbug installed? When there is a weather alert the Weatherbug icon will blink red. I noticed that sometimes it will also activate the red LED. When I click on the Weatherbug icon to read the weather alert, the LED stops blinking.

No I do not. I had BBWeather since it started working again but then found WeatherEye and switched to that since I've used it before on my old BB. Even when I had BBWeather it did it.

You've checked the LED setting for every alert in your active profile to make sure that it isn't one of the standard alerts?

I use multiple different profiles but I have not taken notice to which profile I'm in when it happens. I'll have to make sure to take note when it happens again.
