Angry Battery Issue After Idle For Months

Please Login to Remove!

Happy New Year

I'm having some issues with my current bold and is being sent away for repair by my insurance company.

I got my 8300 out of my desk being unused for about 12 months and it's totally dead, to be expected, I have had it on charge for 2 days and there's no light on display or any indication it's charging.

Any suggestions on how to get some live into it with out having to wait for a new battery to arrive as i am lost without my blackberry.

Thanks in advance for any help

Wirelessly posted

if you left the battery in then maybe it corroded.
If after two days and still no joy (remove it and put it back it) then you may need to get a new/different battery.

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

Let it charge for another 2 hours - remove from one while on and place back - let it charge for several more hrs. If that doesnt work, try another battery which kirrinjones suggested

I will need to get a new battery or just wait for my new Bold.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any quick fixes to bring it back to life
