Default 7130e Internet access if not subscribing to a plan...

Please Login to Remove!

I tried connecting to the internet and it worked with my 7130e. But I am not subscribing to any data plans. How will I get charged? by the minute?
Anyone know how much it is per month?

Default Turn it off NOW!!!!

Quick turn it off, if you do not haave a data plan the blackberry generally is "always on" in terms of a web conection, thats the purpose of them. if you leave it connected VZW has some sort of gorilla math they use to charge by the KB recieved and you Will have an exorbent bill coming your way, beware!!!!

I think with the 7130e it's just supposed to use your minutes, but I'd call 611 and find out for sure. Well, maybe not for sure, since VZW seems a little confused with this new product.

Heck, if it was .015/mb I would drop my BB plan and do that

I think it is more like .15/kb

Your going to get charged some excessive fees for GPRS access. Which is what you'll be doing. You can't be using voice minutes; explination is below.
----
The blackberry's wont dial any normal isp over GSM (CSD is the protocol and blackberry's don't do it)

This is also the reason why when tethering to a laptop for example; you have to dial using the blackberry's GPRS... Trying to dialup a normal isp won't work.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circuit_Switched_Data for more information on CSD; though that page doesn't have anything concerning Blackberry's, so it's just general info if your curious.
