Default Problems with Build All

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I downloaded JDE 4.7 and when I try to Build the FirstApp (HelloWorld) that comes as a sample I get the

I/O Error: CreateProcess:2

...

Error while building project

I already had the JDK installed, to specify more i had the jdk-6u18-windows-i586 because I read that it was a requirement for JDE 4.7.

I searched the forums and I found that I needed to add the bin directory to the PATH, so I did it, and here you can see exactly what I have on the PATH:

C:\Archivos de programa\Java\jdk1.6.0_18\bin;C:\Archivos de programa\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%Syst emRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Archivos de programa\Archivos comunes\Roxio Shared\DLLShared\

(my computer is in spanish so dont worry about the "archivos de programa")

If anyone can guide me to solve this problem I will really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

This error generally means that the RAPC compiler cannot find the java compiler "javac"

The java compiler is not in the RIM /bin directory, it is in your JDK /bin directory.

You need to fix your path.

Isn't
C:\Archivos de programa\Java\jdk1.6.0_18\bin
the JDK/bin directory?

What I have to do to fix my path.

Thanks.

I get the following:
Error ocurred during initialization of VM
java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object

So i guess this is isnt supposed to be this way, how to fix it?

Have you installed the JRE as well as the JDK?

I think you should post the entire error mesage you are getting from the compiler.

Building FirstApp
C:\Archivos de programa\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\bin\rapc.exe -quiet import=..\lib\net_rim_api.jar codename=FirstApp FirstApp.rapc warnkey=0x52424200;0x52525400;0x52435200 "C:\Archivos de programa\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0\bin\HelloApp.java"
I/O Error: Cannot run program "javac": CreateProcess error=2, El sistema no puede hallar el archivo especificado
Error while building project

Thats the error message I get.

I think my javac works now, when I type javac in cmd it shows a list of al posible option so I think its working.

And according to Sun's website my Java is working fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

The IDE cannot find the javac compiler, that is what the error says.
