I have an 8330 that i want to use with my Tmobile account. Does anyone know if an 8330 from Sprint can be unlocked. Contract no longer valid

You can't use an 8330 on T-Mobile. The 8330 is a CDMA device, T-Mobile uses GSM. Two completely different technologies.

Let me ask you this, where do you plan on putting the T-Mobile SIM card in your 8330?

You can't even use your Sprint 8330 on Verizon. Although the technology is compatible, and although Verizon sells the exact same device, they will not activate a handset they did not initially sell. If it doesn't say "Verizon" on it, they won't let you use it. The ESN of a Sprint device is not in their data base.

CDMA phones are typically not locked. It's just that nobody will activate another carrier's device. And like jsconyers said, using it on a GSM carrier like T-Mobile is like trying to get an AM radio station on an FM radio.
