Default How to Factory Reset?

Please Login to Remove!

I don't have a "General Settings". So,

"Options> Security Options > General Settings > Wipe Handheld"

Doesn't work.

Thanks in advance.

See my edit. The menu is organized differently than the 4.X you probably were used to.

I trust you, but that just looks like it deletes a bunch of files. Does it really reset the phone like it is brand new?

You indicated you were looking for the wipe handheld menu selection. The basic option is to wipe all user data. There is also the additional option to wipe third-party apps.

If you want to remove an IT policy, that won't do it for you. But otherwise I think it should do you. Especially if you were looking for the wipe handheld function on the device.

I actually solved my problem a little while ago. But, I would still like to know how to COMPLETELY wipe the phone -- IT policies and all. Thanks again.

Why not use the command line

cd C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader
Loader.exe /resettofactory

That's what that's there for

How do you use that command? Do you just put that the start>run area?

Sorry new to the blackberry thing. I bought a phone from my sister that has a IT policy on it that wont let you download or access the web.
