Default How to disable autotext ?

Please Login to Remove!

After I upgraded to OS 5.0.0.484 , I can not disable autotext on my Storm. Whenever I want to write a message it pops up with words or whatever, change my writing text. I tried everything, I unselect all options under Language and Text Input /Input style/ Input options

Any other suggestions ?

If you unselect Predictive Input under Options -- Language and Text Input -- Show Text Input Options it doesn't pop up words anymore. At least not on my Bold.

Rosanna, what didn't work?

Suggestion #1 or #2?

What do you want to disable? AutoText, Predictive Text, Word Completion?
They are all different things.

I would as well.

You can not turn it off, only 2 choices (that I can find),
"auto correction" or "word completion"

Like I said, delete all words in the AutoText list.
Then it cannot suggest them to you, as there's nothing to suggest.

Well, it was a pain. But, I finally figured it out.
One of the problems, was when you turned the auto correct off, the speed dialler stopped working.

So, here is what I found. Go to:
Options
Language and text input
Set input Style to: Auto Correction
Select "show text input options"
De-select "auto correction"

It works
