Angry BlackBerry won't stop ringing while pressing "any key"

Please Login to Remove!

Just got a 9000 as replacement of my personal 8700 (I also have an 8310 from work).
I migrated all the data with the 'Device Switch Wizard' (DM). Everything OK.

When the 9000 "rings" (no mater if it is the phone, an e-mail, an SMS, etc.), if I press any key / button, it stops the sound temporarily and then continues to ring!
I have not ever installed any ringtone (I'm using the ones that come with the equipment).

Could anyone help me with this problem please?

Thanks!

more info is needed but try a battery pull when on and see if it fixes it.
If not and it's new, return to the store for a replacement. I would not spend a lot of time on a new phone. If it's used, you may have to reload the OS. If you loaded any additional appications try to remove them and see if that works.

Good luck

Done battery pull and also updated to the latest OS, but no progress...
The phone is used.

Pressing the volume button works!, but I am used to "any key" in my other

Why wouldn't this work in the 9000?

I see this as an improvement actually. because if pressing any key would mute the ringtone, i might accidentally press it in my pocket when there is incoming calls. it happens a lot when I have my 8100.

It won't even stop ringing when I am chatting with Google Talk. I think there is a problem...
