I have close to 500 users on our BES and the Blackberry OS's range from 4.2 to the newest v5.0.
I can only get one version of the messenger to be added to my Software Config list, when i try to add the other one (v2.5.20) I get an error saying I can only have one.
This seems odd to have two different versions of software for the various versions of OS's but can only have 1 installed to have pushed to the handhelds.
Is there a way to get both installed so I can push the messaging client to any blackberry at any time?
I'm running BES v4.1.7 with the latest maintenance release.

I have this same issue. Some OSs will pick up the package but most won't. The documentation on the messenger deployment and the versions is woeful to boot.

We have both BES 5 and 4.x.

On 5.x, it can be deployed to anyone with the same software config.

On 4.x, we posted the software on a IIS website. When user asks, we provide the url based on the OS version of their device and they download/install from their device.
