Default Need GPRS Settings for Airtel ( 8820 )

Please Login to Remove!

Im having 8820 Phone with Airtel(India) connection. I want to use the Internet using GPRS without Data Plan. Airtel is supporting GPRS for Nokia and all other devices but not for Blackberry. When I contact Airtel Customer care, they're mentioning I can't use GPRS Service with blackberry. Can anybody help me on this. Im very much curios to use Blackberry but not able to enjoy the full feature. Please somebody help me to resolve this.

To enjoy the full feature, you need a blackberry data plan.

Hi,

I'm in Sri Lanka, using bold 9000 with Aitel without a blackberry data plan.

Airtel says that I have to get a BB data plan to use data in my phone. But I have been able to surf the web with "Bolt" browser without trouble. But I have not been able to make the default browser work with airtel yet.

Also Gmail, and other applications have been able to access internet.

Advice you to get Bolt browser.
