Default GPS Map question

Please Login to Remove!

I have been reading the posts concerning AT&T blocking Blackberry maps. But when I check my options, it says Blackberry Maps-NA. I'm assuming this means not available and not North America. But gives no options for any other default map service. I do have google maps loaded, but what is it really using. The phone is a Bold 9700 and I am on AT&T with a data plan. I'm just a little confused.

Default

NA = North America.

Did you consider clicking the icon to see what happens?

If you click Google Maps, then it uses Google. If you click BB Maps, it uses BB Maps.

Default Blackberry maps

I think it's fixed. I read in a post that AT&T won't allow Blackberry Maps. I think it was deleted during a AT&T upgrade to version 602. I downloaded it again and now it's up and running ok. I have google maps as well. I guess my question is, will I need to re-install Blackberry Maps everytime I do a AT&T upgrade? It's not a big problem, but would like to know what to expect. I've seen a lot of posts around the net on this same problem, so I think a lot of other people would like to know as well.
