Default Past Outlook Calendar Items are Gone!

Please Login to Remove!

When configuring my BB Tour, I remember a setting regarding keeping or deleting calendar items that were old. I set it up to keep my old items in Outlook on my desktop and everything seemed fine. This morning, I searched for a past item in Outlook only to find that it wasnt' there. In fact, I have no items in outlook past about one month ago. The old items show up on my BB but not in Outlook on my desktop. What's going on??

Did my BB Desktop manager delete old items in Outlook or have they been archived to a place I cannot find??

Did you do an archive on the desktop then sync the blackberry? . Archive moves old entries to a storage file and cleans the calendar annd other old emails. It's based on a date you enter or use by default.

I can open the archive file but the past (and future) entries (more than about 30 days into the future or past) do not exist.

They are on my BB but not in outlook. I'm puzzled and frustrated because I need these!

check the options on the PC Outlook for any settings that offer auto archive. also
as a last resort, do a cut and paste of the information on each entry and email the data to yourself. I do not think you have the option to forward an appointment from the BB

It showed default settings for calendar archiving (I believe every 6 months) but my appointments are not showing up in the archive file!
All of my recurring (birthday's) are gone too!

Under Calendar on the left side, it show three check boxes:
"Calendar"
"Calendar in Archive Folders (2)"
"Calendar in Personal Folder"

If I check the boxes, all of the calendars show up separatly. The Personal folder calendar includes many if not all of the birthdays but nothing else.

I'm lost as what to do

Two questions:

How can I found out if my BB deleted these items while syncing?

If so, is there any way to restore the Outlook items.?

To simplify things, the DM sync allows a couple of options. One allows the Blackberry data to xxx8220;winxxx8221; and the other allows the PC to xxx8220;winxxx8221;. Or you can set it to leave the other alone.
I have attached a help file from Rim that may explain the settings. I would take a look and see if something your doing is wrong. Also My settings are set to leave the data without overriding anything.

Becasue you mentioned the calendar is still on the BB, you may be able to Sync back to the Outlook calendar y changing a setting this once..

This is driving me crazy. I checked all DM options to try and force the appointments on my BB to get back in Outlook. I set my BB to "win" and set device to send info (calendar) to Outlook (one way). After I rann it, nothing new. Outlook only shows past appointments two weeks back, that's it. They are on my device but will not move to Outlook.

I've scoured Outlook for any settings that might be hiding past appointments but no luck. All of my Contacts and Tasks seem to be unmodified (fine) in Outlook and my BB.

As a Mac user I may see different options for backups vs. syncing. Do you have the option to set a different time limit for backup of calendar items, apart from the syncing time limit? It may be that you have sync set to keep items "forever", but backups only go back 4 weeks and forward 2 weeks, or whatever the default may be.
