Default New to BBM Advice please

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry if this as been answered but really confused.

What connection do you need for BBM to work? Just your network signal or do you need to have Wifi? If you do I'm bolloxed as the moment Wifi won't work as I use WPA2 With BB will not connect too.

Also, if I don't need Wifi to use BBM how do I set it up? Do I need to register?

First: You need a blackberry data plan. A generic mobile data plan will not do it. You must have the blackberry specific data plan to use BBM. Do you have it?

Emmzie - please ask all questions in the forum and not by reporting a post.

The BlackBerry Data Plan, or add on, is obtained from your carrier. There is a cost associated with this. Contact O2 and tell them you have a BlackBerry.

Once the plan is added, you will be able to use BlackBerry Messenger. Good luck.

Sorry, this will sound stupid!

I don't know what that is, and how do you get this?

I bought this from eBay it was completely new and un used, the guy never even opened the box! Would it be in the original box? I've tried reading the manuals and nothing is giving me the advise I need.

Thank you x

PS - I didn't mean to report the post, Sorry

See NJ's post . . . You buy the blackberry data service from your mobile service provider that sells you the voice plan.
