Unhappy Stop Mobile Companies Ripping Us Off

I travel extensively internationally and am sick of paying exorbitant roaming charges for email and data services to my Canadian provider. There are ways to cut data transfer down but getting my Bold to default to them seems impossible. A simple example would be delete past history when sending email. Somehow it should also be possible to limit email downloads to headers. Etc, etc....

Does anyone know of a Blackberry app that has the goal of minimizing charges? If not can someone much smarter than me develop one. I'd pay a substantial price for such an app.

thanks

1. Your BlackBerry only receives the first 2kb chunk of data for each email, until you start scrolling and it goes out and grabs the next 2kb chunk. Granted, the majority of emails are less than 2kb.

2. When you reply to an email, click Menu > Delete Original Text.

That solves the first two issues.

Use T-Mobile USA when roaming internationally, then you don't have to worry about it. You should be able to sign US contracts as a Canadian.

Don't think email history is sent/received - I figured bb just stittched them together for readability sake
